Warrior Nun remains the best-rated second season of a Netflix show on Rotten Tomatoes. It ticked all the boxes a "good show" needs to tick to get renewed. Yet that still wasn't enough. Almost every show led by queer women has been canceled in 2022 and this was the final straw that made us all ask: when will our shows and stories be good enough? Because if even this show wasn't good enough, what will be?
We’re angry and done begging for representation. Our stories matter. We’re channeling all our anger into saving Warrior Nun, getting Netflix and every other platform to pay attention and reconsider their approach. But to do that we need to make as much noise as possible. Will you help us?
What critics and the audience think of Warrior Nun
Why you should watch the show
After waking up in a morgue, an orphaned teen discovers she now possesses superpowers as the chosen Halo Bearer for a secret sect of demon-hunting nuns. Pulled into the ancient community of nuns known as The Order of the Cruciform Sword, the series shows the main character, Ava, battle demons with her newfound powers. The series has brutal, surprisingly great action, a meaningful central romance and unexpectedly biting commentary on religion. Created by Simon Barry. Starring Toya Turner, Thekla Reuten, Alba Baptista, Lorena Andrea, Kristina Tonteri-Young, Sylvia De Fanti, Joaquim de Almeida, William Miller and Tristán Ulloa.
